| In a certain restaurant, if each soft drink costs the same amount, what is the cost, excluding sales tax, of 1 soft drink? | |
| (1) | The cost, excluding sales tax, of 5 soft drinks is $6.25. |
| (2) | The cost, including sales tax, of 3 soft drinks is $4.05. |
| (A) | Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient. |
